Faith – A Reflection
Faith is more than just believing in God’s existence. It is trusting Him completely, even when we cannot see the way forward. The Bible reminds us:
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
This verse teaches us that faith is not blind—it is confident trust in God’s promises, even in uncertainty. Faith allows us to stand firm when life is confusing, painful, or unpredictable.
The Scriptures also say:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)
Faith requires surrender. It means letting go of our own logic, doubts, and fears, and allowing God to guide our steps. When we fully trust Him, our hearts find peace even in storms.
Faith is active, not passive. The Word reminds us:
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
Hearing God’s promises, meditating on His Word, and praying strengthens our faith. It grows as we walk daily with Him, see His faithfulness, and rely on His Spirit.
Finally, faith is life-transforming. The righteous live by faith:
“The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17)
It is faith that moves us beyond fear, empowers us to forgive, encourages us to love unconditionally, and gives us hope for eternity.
Reflection
“Lord, help me to trust You completely. Strengthen my faith when doubts arise. Teach me to walk with You each day, to rely on Your Word, and to find peace in Your promises. May my faith be a light for others, and may I live as one who fully trusts You.”
