THIS IS HILARIOUS: Days after firing his last press secretary, Trump’s White House is now teasing Nicki Minaj for the job.Communications Director Steven Cheung posted a mock “job interview” with the rapper on Air Force One. He lobbed her softballs, like whether anyone works harder than President Trump. She said he “outworks people who are half his age.”
Asked about “fake news polls,” her answer was “Let’s ask Hillary Clinton.”Cheung then declared “we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!” TMZ reports two White House staffers have floated her name for real.So that’s the hiring process now. Gush over Dear Leader on camera and the podium is yours.
The internet has some notes on this pairing. Plenty of critics are openly asking whether she’s angling for pardons, or for a friend in high places to help with her own legal headaches down the line.
In fairness, the bar is low. His last pick, Katie Zacharia, lasted five days. She’d been calling herself a lawyer without ever passing the bar, and her lone briefing ran 14 minutes with three questions. That makes six press secretaries across his two terms. Obama had three in eight years. Biden had two.
Later that day, at his Michigan rally, Trump singled Minaj out in the crowd and marveled at her backside. “That’s hard to miss!” he said. And remember, Minaj said in 2018 that she came to this country as an undocumented 5-year-old, and she blasted his family separations at the border. Now she promotes his $1 million “Gold Card,” a pay-to-stay pass for the rich.
Flattery-Addicted Donald is filling the most visible job in the White House like he’s casting another season of The Apprentice. The only audition is telling him how great he is.
